The Jewish community cares about people who are targets of abuse. While CHANA staff members have the training and experience to address a wide range of problems and help people involved in unhealthy relationships to resolve issues, sometimes we also extend our services through related agencies and qualified individuals.
CHANA is among the more than 21 local and overseas organizations supported by The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. We often work, for example, with Jewish Community Services (JCS), which offers counseling and therapy services. In addition, our elder abuse program, SAFE: Stop Abuse of Elders (SAFE), operates through a partnership with JCS and Lifebridge Health.
Whether we at CHANA give service by ourselves or in combination with community partners, we and they always treat clients with the utmost respect and privacy and keep all communication confidential.
“We embrace the opportunity to do this work in partnership with other individuals, programs and agencies (acharayut, collective responsibility).”
